Sagal Ahmed
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR & CO-OWNER
Sagal Ahmed is the Executive Director and Co–Owner of Diversity Wellness Center. Since beginning her journey in the mental health field in 2020, Sagal has supported vulnerable adults and children through person–centered, compassionate, and culturally responsive services.
She is passionate about helping individuals build independence, strengthen daily living skills, navigate community resources, and work toward meaningful personal goals. Sagal holds a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Management and brings experience in compliance, project management, client coordination, staff support, documentation oversight, and agency operations.
Her commitment to quality care and strong organizational systems helps ensure clients receive services that are respectful, consistent, and focused on recovery. Outside of work, Sagal enjoys traveling, spending time with friends, and creating meaningful memories with loved ones.
Maymuna Mohamud
PROGRAM DIRECTOR & CO-OWNER
Maymuna Mohamud is the Program Director and Co–Owner of Diversity Wellness Center and a dedicated mental health professional who has worked in the field since 2020. She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work and is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) as well as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC).
Throughout her career, Maymuna has worked closely with vulnerable adults across the Twin Cities metro area, supporting individuals experiencing mental health concerns, substance–use challenges, housing instability, trauma, and other barriers to stability. Her direct work with clients inspired her to continue her education and obtain professional licensure so she could provide deeper clinical support to those in need.
Maymuna is known for her compassionate approach, strong advocacy, collaborative care coordination, and commitment to helping clients recognize their strengths while building healthier and more independent lives.
Shannon Lowe, LICSW, LADC
LICENSED CLINICAL SUPERVISOR
Shannon Lowe, LICSW, LADC, is the Licensed Clinical Supervisor for Diversity Wellness Center. Shannon brings extensive experience in mental health, substance–use services, clinical supervision, program management, and community–based care.
She holds a Master of Social Work degree and is both a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) in Minnesota. Throughout her career, Shannon has worked with individuals and families experiencing homelessness, mental health concerns, substance–use challenges, housing instability, and other barriers that can impact stability and well–being.
Her background includes supervising mutildisciplinary teams, providing individual and group clinical supervision, completing diagnostic assessments, supporting ARMHS documentation and treatment planning, and ensuring services meet professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Shannon is known for her thoughtful leadership, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to helping both staff and clients succeed. She brings a collaborative, compassionate, and accountable approach to clinical oversight, helping Diversity Wellness Center provide high- quality, person–centered services to the community.
